A Note about the Founder:

The Late George Atiyeh was awarded "Service Connection Disability" by the Department of Veteran Affairs relating to injuries and disabilities sustained while proudly serving the United States of America in Vietnam from 1967 to 1968. George proudly stated,

George Atiyeh Sr.

I had enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1965 where I started to learn my trade, Aircraft Sheet Metal, in Amarillo, Texas. I was proud to serve my country in Vietnam from 1967 to 1968 supporting efforts from the Phan Rang Air Base. On August 30, 2013, I was awarded Service Connection Disability due to herbicide exposure I sustained while in Vietnam. For many years I was unaware of the benefits that are available for service related injuries and disabilities. Now that I understand my Service Disabled Veteran status, I am excited to extend this status to my business as a "Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business". In doing so I also intend to find ways to use this newly realized status to help other servicemen and women who are interested in learning the sheet metal trade as I had learned it while in the Air Force".

On September 1, 1998 George Atiyeh established American Architectural Metal Manufacturers, Inc. He was the president and 100% owner of the company. Since establishment, the business has demonstrated successful operations and developed an exceptional list of completed projects and references. American Architectural Metal Manufacturers is a certified Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business.

On April 4, 2016 American Architectural Metal Manufacturers Late Founder and President, George Atiyeh, passed away from chronic illness directly related to his years of service. It was George's vision and wishes that American Architectural Metal Manufacturers continue as a family owned business, and continue to find ways to provide ongoing service to the Department of Veteran Affairs and other servicemen and women.

On April 19, 2016, Sahar Atiyeh, spouse of Founder George Atiyeh, assumed 100% ownership and responsibility as President of American Architectural Metal Manufacturers. Sahar had worked side by side with George since 1998 growing American Architectural Metal Manufacturers. Sahar's business involvement over 18 years has required her to solder endcaps late at night to ensure rush orders were complete, to making long term strategic decisions such as facility and equipment purchases. Sahar writes, George & Sahar Atiyeh
"George's dream and drive was to create a strong family business where all involved could grow and prosper. His utmost attention was to customer service. His dream was to once again provide service to the United States through Service Disabled Veteran business ownership. American Architectural Metal Manufacturers will continue to carry George's dreams and expectations as we grow toward a prosperous future".

In September 2016, Sahar Atiyeh successfully completed the renewal of the Department of Veteran Affairs Certified Veteran Enterprise Certification (CVE). Sahar, as spouse and 100% owner, allows American Architectural Metal Manufacturers to continue SDVOSB participation until 2026. In addition the business has started the third party audit process to acquire Woman-Owned Small Business Certification as well. These certification will provide benefit to State and Federal procurement programs.
